Stay in your swim lane


Today, I am grateful for self-awareness.  Once you decide to turn your light on and embark on the arduous journey of "unpacking the boxes of your mind," there's really no going back.  The only choice is to move forward, fearlessly. 

I am learning how to stay in my swim lane. It requires a deep understanding of my span of control and my sphere of influence.  If something occurs that is outside anything I can impact, why do I allow it to bother me? Because I don’t stay in my fucking lane. 

I accomplished making it through day one (four to go) without the resources I would usually rely on for help. 

I delighted in a walk with the pup, in listening to some of my favorite tunes, and in writing this post.
