make new friends

Today, I am grateful to be in a role that gives me the space and support I need to consciously and continually get "better." I grow personally and professionally every day and I am thankful for peers that inspire and challenge me, a boss that I can be vulnerable with, and a team that kicks ass.

I am learning how to reframe how I approach problems so that I stay in my swim-lane and scope the work me and my team are responsible for in a way that honors what we can and cannot control. Just because I can, doesn't mean I should.

I accomplished escalating an issue to the "big bosses." This is something that would have triggered a shame reaction previously because of a false narrative that because I had to ask for help, I failed. Only I can change my narrative and accepting a bit of discomfort helps me break free from past programming.

I delighted in meeting new team members, in enjoying a "Boom Sauce" beer after dropping an email bomb, and in requesting time off for my Icelandic adventure.
