ground in gratitude

Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to immerse myself in nature, for the tranquility and beauty that surrounds me, and for the stillness it brings my soul. 

I am learning how to greet myself and others with compassion, and how this can be particularly challenging when I am having a rough day. 

I accomplished recognizing when my allergy to criticism was triggered by someone I love and responded by practicing dual awareness.  I allowed my inner child the space to feel the feelings of shock, anger, and hurt, and the adult me to remain grounded in compassion and approach with curiosity knowing it's not about me. 

I delighted in finding out a good friend (and outstanding mom) is trying for a second baby, in connecting with my person, and in a big bowl of ice cream.
